Japanese Association of Encarnacion

It is a non-profit entity, with Legal Personality, whose primary objective was to maintain both, the language and the traditions of Japan; procure the necessary means for the development and elevation of the cultural level of the Japanese living in Paraguay; and to promote mutual solidarity among members.
Currently, in addition to those mentioned, it aims to spread Japanese culture and traditions to the cosmopolitan city to which it belongs; making the interaction between all cultures promote the values ​​and essences of Japan.

1957: Several people from Japan met and in order to maintain the language, they decided to get together to achieve the proposed objective. For organizational reasons it actually worked.

1959: It is mentioned in the Book of the 80th Anniversary of Japanese Immigration to Paraguay, that they decided to form a non-profit association in Encarnacion, with its own objectives, and that Mr. Tomokichi Inoue was elected to preside over the entity.

1961: The JAPANESE ASSOCIATION OF ENCARNACION is officially founded IN PARAGUAY. The President-elect being Mr. Tanji Ishibashi.

1963: The first grade of the Japanese language was enabled in a private home. Therefore, from that year on, the Institute of the Japanese Language, dependent on the Association, operates.

1970: By Public Deed No. 350, of December 28, authorized by NP Hermes R. Varela, the Bylaws were transcribed, approved in the General Assembly on January 6, 1969.

1974: By Decree of the PE No.10.439, of November 18, 1974, the Legal Personality was obtained.

To bring together the entire Japanese and Nikkei community of Encarnacion and its surroundings, to preserve and spread the language, culture, traditions and values ​​of Japan, within a range of cultures that interact in the district.

VISION

To be an important axis in a cosmopolitan city, for the realization of its objectives; providing that dose of values ​​that will make it different from any other society in which there is no amalgamation of cultures.

VALUES

They are the same ones that our ancestors practiced and practice; which are: respect, honesty, responsibility, gratitude, loyalty, discipline, perseverance, trust, harmony and humility.
